UX Design Gamification

Challenge

For specialised in-store skills training, Tesco wanted a way to take it online without losing the key practical elements of the course. They also needed a way of managing the systems online for the assessors and the admins.

Solution

We created an online hub so training could be completedin their own time. The bakers learning path covered 6 key principles, with assessors reviewing and marking work online. Uniquely, want-to-be bakers could upload baking videos for feedback. Assessors and managers accessed everything via their portal, while learners could access content anytime. Outcome

The hub drove impressive results allowing the experts to identify areas where people were struggling, which wsa previously unknown and provide extra content and information.

This online approach allowed more colleagues get the skills to rise up. The hub provided a recipe for increased accessibility, flexibility, and career advancement.

From difficult and expensive to seamless and cost effective

Taking the process online allowed Tesco to manage everything in one place and ensure a consistent, effective experience for their teams. This helped with internal mobility.
